Ensure accurate and timely shipping and billing of orders. Responsibility includes scheduling carriers for both LTL and TL shipments, maintaining routing guide for existing customers and creating PKMS routing guides for new customers per routing instructions, waving orders, Cubiscan, RTA scheduling loads, and submitting ability for HD and other accounts.


  • Quotes for TL and Air shipments based on best service and rates.
  • Resolve OS&D with carriers.
  • Create commercial invoices thru established system.
  • Maintain several spreadsheets containing various schedules and order information.
  • Provide clerical and investigative support as needed to Operations Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
  • Insure timely pick up and delivery of customer orders.
  • Track shipments and schedule carriers.
  • Maintain routing tables and master carrier files (SCAC codes, Zips )
  • Investigate and provide resolution to carrier OS&D reports and freight term errors.
  • Ensure the most cost effective shipping methods are being used for prepaid shipments.
  • Process & Generate Bills of Lading, confirms and closes loads.
  • Prepare offline shipping documentation when necessary.
  • Prepare freight quotes for sales and customer service.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with carriers and customers both internal and external.
  • Update list of carrier contacts/reps for collect and prepaid shipments.
  • Responsible for all outbound shipments.
  • Process Closing of Trailer Loads and Confirm Shipping.


    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 6 months to 1 year related logistics experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be proficient in reading and speaking English.
    • Knowledge of MS Word/Excel.
    • Knowledge of PKMS and JDE a plus
    • Able to handle multiple priorities effectively
